“PV Trainer Training” is an online course with instructor interaction and a minimum of one week intensive hands-on instruction. (This requirement can be divided into a series of weekend workshops.)
Trainer Candidates – It is desired that candidates possess the following skills and competencies prior to PV Instructor training:

- 25 ft. Ladder Safety
- Safe Use of Hand & Power Tools
- Scaffolding Erection and Safety
- Hoisting
- Basic Site Evaluation
- Roof Types and Roofing Condition Recognition
- Roof Safety and Knowledge of Walking a Variety of Roof Surfaces
- Basic Structural Issues
- Seismic Loads, Wind Loads, Dead Loads, and Live Loads
- Basic Knowledge of Electricity
